Graduation ceremony
The Graduation ceremony is a festive event celebrated in the Stadtkirche Mittweida. Our new Bachelor's, Diploma and Master's graduates are accompanied by relatives and friends, fellow students, the university administration, professors, university staff and representatives of the university town as they leave the university. The next Graduation ceremony will take place on May 3rd 2024.
All new graduates will receive an invitation by post with a link to the registration form.

Directions and parking
The graduation ceremony will take place at the Stadtkirche in Mittweida.

There are just limited parking spots in the immediate surroundings of the Stadtkirche. But the public car parks on Hainichener Straße, Zimmerstraße and Burgstädter Straße are only a few minutes walking away.
Walk of remembrance
After graduation, you can have your name immortalised on campus. You can order your stone of remembrance for 50 euros. This is organised by the Förderkreis Hochschule Mittweida e. V.. The stone will be placed on the path between the Carl-Georg-Weitzel-Bau and the Gerhard-Neumann-Bau.
Photos of past graduation ceremonies
A professional photographer will be present for the graduation ceremony to take photos of the event in the church. Afterwards, the traditional hat throwing will be photographed on the Technikumplatz.
